Wheels - Stocks Rowcrop Wheels

We offer two base designs of row crop wheel - bolted adjustable centre disc or welded fixed centre disc. Both use high quality rims and heavy duty centre discs formed from special steels. Centre bores, stud holes and nut seats are precision CNC machined to ensure a perfect fit to the tractor hub. Rotational welding machines ensure perfect welds, and a high quality 2 pack colour matched paint finish completes the wheel.

Adjustable Centre Row Crop Wheels

Adjustable centre wheels offer a range of different track settings to fit a variety of row or bed widths, and may be fitted with alternative discs to suit different tractors and axle details.

The Heavy Duty Flange Rowcrop is unique to Stocks, and is an extremely tough, good looking wheel suitable for 50 kph tractors. Rowcrop wheels are often subject to maximum loading, high road speeds and a hard ride due to higher tyre pressures. Stocks HDF wheels are designed to withstand the high loads imposed by large high speed tractors using front and rear mounted implements, and are manufactured to strict tolerances to ensure true running.

They feature a heavy 15mm thick steel flange, continuously machine welded on both sides into the rim for reinforcement, and to evenly distribute the load around the rim. Heavy, high quality, formed discs are bolted to the flange with 10.9 grade M16 high tensile, captive bolts and nuts. Wheels up to 36" diameter use 8 bolts per wheel, and wheels from 38" to 54" diameter use 12 bolts. Spacers are supplied as standard to offer more track settings if fitted between the disc and the flange. HDF Rowcrops are available in all sizes up to 54" diameter.

Fixed Centre Row Crop Wheels

Fixed centre wheels are lower maintenance with no rim bolts to check and generally offer higher strength than an adjustable centre wheel. They are available in two designs:

Formed disc wheels

Are the stronger of the two (size for size) and generally use an 11 - 15mm thick disc which is a press fit into the rim and then fully machine welded around the flange of the disc. Discs with different offsets are used to achieve the required track setting.

Flat plate wheels

May be used in place of a formed disc to achieve a specific track setting or for very arduous applications. Depending on the application, most plate thickness will be 12, 15, 20 or 25mm, fully machine welded on both sides into the rim.

High speed wheels

Vehicles which travel at speeds in excess of 25MPH (40KPH) usually use fixed centre wheels. High speed vehicles using row crop wheels or nonstandard tyres should adhere to the maximum speed rating for the tyre fitted. Excess speed is potentially dangerous and may cause wheel or tyre failure.
